Facebook Lite makes me feel inadequately supplied. For those of you who are FB veterans, like myself, I don't recommend it. But for those of us without FB accounts who just want to satisfy their friends by getting one, it's cool. You can switch back and forth if you like.
I'm sitting at the dining table, watching Muppets From Space for the second time (after Toy Story and Toy Story 2) while Danny bounces around on dismantled couch parts. The backyard patio is flooding a bit more every hour, and the rainfall's been at a heavy drizzle since I awoke at 9:07 this morning. The plastic bucket Matthew left outside is filled to the brim with water, and the gray fence has browned with the weight of moisture.
Mom and Ryan are on an airplane for Memphis - another regular, monthly check-up with St. Jude's. They'll be back tomorrow. This is nothing.
I've been writing the better part of the day... and playing Pet Society (haha, I'll admit it, that silly game's addicting). Not looking forward to tomorrow if the sun comes out. I don't think it will, but I couldn't stand for another day of humidity, not in October. Either way, I'll still have kickboxing tomorrow, and I never know if I'm going to hate it or enjoy it on any given day. Criminal Investigation is still a bust, really. We're reviewing for midterms, but in comparision to the hundred or so pages of notes I've taken for my Criminology midterm and term paper, the three I've taken for this "test" don't worry me terribly. Can you believe it - a whole two, almost three, months in class and that's it. The instructor says we'll get to see a live autopsy at the end, and we'd better, or I want the money I paid for the class and the hundred-fifty dollar textbook we've never opened BACK.
Anyway, off the soapbox. My other classes are excellent. I can't wait until November 15th, when registration begins for the Spring semester. I want to take Basic Firearms, if its available... and perhaps an art class. Painting would be nice - not so much for the instruction, I just want access to their materials. Do you have any idea how expensive canvas and acrylic paint is?
For an artist, I sure do suck at improvising.
